BOO Update

I am unapologetic about the no blog action since Feb, obviously because no one really reads my blog, except maybe Angel...ahahah. But today, I feel inspired to update it. And so here goes one on Boo.

It was really not too long ago that Boo looked like this....

And now, he can stand on his own, walk on his own, eat on his own (kinda) AND he looks like this....

And yes, my avid facebook updating of Boo's pics have caused some overseas friends to think that he was my son. How embarrassing on so many levels. The primary one being, I have posted more pics online than the real mother. On a secondary level, HAVE I BECOME SO FAT THAT I LOOK POST NATAL??? BWAH!

Anyway, I have tried to curb facebook behaviour but since this is a BOO update and no one really reads my blogs except Angel who is a fellow BOO fan... here are more pics!

And lastly, Isaac the LOLLY KIA.
Quoting DN: "Gosh looking at this picture you would never have guessed their postal codes"

Family

Reflection, such an overused word. But yet I cannot think of anything other at this moment. So many things have happened this year and the only thing that keeps popping up is how despite all the shit, I am so blessed. I am so blessed with such a wonderful and loving family, tho you really may not be able to see the love if you hang out with us. We're all executors and believers of tough love, my family. Words are spoken nagging-ly, and more often than not in a loud tone, profanities (ok mostly from me and Connie) fly about, and slitty eye glares (otherwise known as the XXY)abound. But yet amidst all this, I know we all love each other so deeply that we try so hard not to think about the possibility that we may not all be around in the future. And in this vein, this post will be about looking at the happy family pics and not obsessing about what the future may bring.

These pics were taken on Connie's trip home in April.
Family pic with Ruby (our fav little cousin/younger sista from a different mother)

Solo pics of each of us, taken with Connie's big ass, expensive and HEAVY SLR shit camera. We took it while she was at the buffet getting food. HAHA. Check out all the act cute poses.

I guess one really cannot ask for more than a loving family. I not only have that, I have a loving extended family as well. I love my aunts (most of them anyway), my cousins (ok, only two of them), but its more than I could ask for.

Christmas 2008

The night started with Carols by Candlelight service at my church. We do try to go every year. Its kinda nice, the church sets up a stage at the carpark and huge screens so everyone can sing along to the carols.

This year was in my opinion more crowded than usual. BC thinks its because times are hard, so more people try to find God. I sort of agree with that.

After carols by candlelight, we went to Zouk for Mambo Jambo Christmas Eve! Mambo sure brings back memories but somehow the songs are different. I highlighted this to Andrea and she so very kindly informed me that RETRO now is not the RETRO we know. As RETRO to the young kids now are like songs from the nineties. F**K. And I waited the whole night for Debbie Gibson and Uptown Girl. So sad.

But it was an wonderful night with my girlfriends! I think its the first party night out for me since i stopped drinking but i still had fun! (Thank god for the mambo music??)

Me and BNN. One of my bestest GAL PALS and TIC. A party is NOT a party without her.

LALA! This picture is precious because less than an hour later, LALA was off to LALA land! HAHAH. She is the best and you only get the best when you're with her.

DDG Entourage

What could be a more perfect Christmas Eve night? Church with the family then partying (to mambo no less) with girlfriends? It was sure a bright spark in this doom and gloom recessionary environment.
